Exactly what Super Duper can see — in plain English
When you install, Slack asks you to approve a set of permissions. Here is what each one actually means, and just as importantly, what Super Duper cannot do.
Read & reply in channels you add it to

What it does
Reads the conversation in a channel after someone invites it there, and replies in the thread when you @mention it.
What it can’t do
Cannot see any channel it has not been explicitly added to — public or private.

What it does
Lets you DM the bot one-on-one or add it to a group DM, and read that thread so it can respond.
What it can’t do
Cannot read direct messages between other people — only conversations it is a participant in.

What it does
Reads a doc, PDF, or sheet you share in a channel or DM it is in, and posts files it generates back to you.
What it can’t do
Cannot browse your workspace file library or open files from conversations it is not in.

What it does
Sees display names so it can attribute messages correctly, and your email once — to create your account at install.
What it can’t do
Does not build a contact list or use emails for marketing.

What it does
Reads your workspace name and ID so your account and credits are tied to the right team.
What it can’t do
Does not access workspace admin settings, billing, or other teams.

- You choose which channels it can see — it only reads channels it is invited to.
- Remove it from a channel, or from your whole workspace, at any time.
- Connect third-party tools (Linear, Google Docs, and more) only if you choose to.
